We don't know how many of our readers are designers, but for those of you who are, this is a prime opportunity to win some rad gear. Cut&Paste is putting on a real live design tournament, pitting competitors against one another in a quest to create the coolest 2D, 3D, or motion design possible—on stage, from scratch.

If you're interested, read the rules for 2D, 3D, and motion design, and send in your portfolio by January 23. Semifinalists will participate in a test round to qualify for the big battle in March. Boston winners will go on to compete against designers from around the globe in New York City in June. Who wouldn't want to be the, uh, glob chimp?
