Sunday Happenings

sugar-dish.jpg Gender Bending

-- Trannies take the stage for Traniwreck, Boston's only all-gender, all-genre burlesque variety show. Expect comedy, ruckus, and tons of gayness. An event so bizarre that Bay Windows calls it Boston's "most surreal." Performing with the Shondes, a band from NYC that sounds like mid 80s 4AD records but with a queer agenda. Milky Way, 403 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain, 9 p.m. $7.

Sketching

-- Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School life drawing sessions continue with Sugar Dish, straight from her starring role in The Slutcracker. Great Scott, 1222 Comm. Ave., Allston, 2:30 p.m. $7.

Taste the Winter

-- Sel de la Terre's weekly themed prix fixe dinner focuses on New England's winter dishes. Subtitled "No farmer's market, no problem," the meal will feature regional game, shrimp, jams, and squash. Sel de la Terre, 774 Boylston St., 7 p.m. $45.
