Men in Black
-- It's the 40th anniversary of Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison concert, and the Milky Way has arranged an audio-visual tribute to the Man in Black. The event, dubbed "Cash Bash," features live performances by Slim Jim and the Mad Cowboys and Brendan Hogan and Peter Parcek along with a classic country DJ set from Brother Cleve and Johnny Cash videos. Half price bowling seals the deal. Milky Way Lounge, 403 Centre St., Jamaica Plain, 9 p.m. $5.
The New Flesh
-- The Brattle screens two punk rock classics tonight, starting with Videodrome (1983), David Cronenberg's S&M television fantasy, featuring Deborah Harry and James Woods. It's a film that's ever more creepy in the era of reality TV and Youtube. It's partner, Repo Man (1984), features a glimpse of the Los Angeles punk rock scene, the soporific world of the televangelical Reagan eighties, a trunk full of something, a plate or two of shrimp, and a job that is always intense. Brattle Theatre, 40 Brattle St., Cambridge.
