Benefits

-- Perennial Bostonist faves Mission of Burma headline a benefit show for Arts at the Armory, Somerville's community arts center. Jimmy Tingle will MC the event, and the Neighborhoods and Faces on Film will also perform. Somerville Theatre, 55 Davis Square, Somerville, 8 p.m. $26.

Reggae

-- Collie Buddz might sound like a series of collectible action figures, but it is not. It is a dude. The white reggae sensation of 2007 recorded the catchy love anthem to weed "Come Around," remixed the tune with Busta Rhymes, and now tours the U.S. clubs where they charge $25 covers. Not bad for a day's work. Paradise Rock Club, 967 Comm. Ave., 9 p.m. $25.

Centennials

-- Elliott Carter is still 100 years old, and folks are still celebrating his birthday. Tonight, Joshua Gordon and Randall Hodgkinson perform Carter's epic Cello and Piano Sonata, along with works by Ives and Machover. Slosberg Recital Hall, Brandeis University, 415 South St., Waltham, 8 p.m. $25/$15.
