Maybe you don't want to think about anything with the word "blizzard" in it right now. We understand. Unless you've already got a flight scheduled, though, you're going to be looking at this snow for a while. But it will be warm inside Cambridge's Lizard Lounge tonight, and we expect it will get downright hot when the Blizzard of '78 takes the stage to show off their new album, Book of Lies.
The Providence/Boston based band promises their new album will deliver a mix of "pop gems, crushing rockers, soul infused rave-ups, complemented by smoldering mid-tempo numbers," all adding up to something "like a jukebox at your favorite dive bar." The Providence Phoenix is fired up for the new CD, and we've never heard of anyone leaving their live shows without getting their money's (in this case, $8) worth.
Exploit Boston! has all the details, plus a video documentary snippet and a song for you to download and whet your appetite. You can shovel and sand tomorrow night.
Lizard Lounge, 1667 Mass Ave, Cambridge. 9:30 PM. 21-plus. $8.00
