Sunday Happenings

American_gigolo_post.jpg There seems to be some sort of athletic competition on television tonight that does not involve any teams from New England. The incongruous result: little to do in Boston.

Sex and Drugs

-- If you do want to watch the Super Bowl, you could do worse than to join our old friends at Sex and Drugs Trivia, who will be showing the Super Bowl (with the sound off) and asking racy questions. Nacho bar included. The Savant Project, 1625 Tremont St., Roxbury Crossing, 6 p.m. No admission fee.

Movies

-- Come for Giorgio Morodor, stay for naked Richard Gere. American Gigolo (1980), a thriller about a male prostitute who was framed for murder, opens the final day of the HFA's Paul Schrader retrospective. Patty Hearst (1988) and Hardcore (1979) also screen. Harvard Film Archive, Carpenter Center, 24 Quincy St., Cambridge. Showtimes.

Swap Meets

-- Do you collect hipster toys and find little opportunity to show them off? Lab Boston presents a Ye Olde Dunny Trading Party, where you can swap your Dunnys (or any other hipster items that you might own, from sneakers to t-shirts) with the likeminded. Lab Boston, 13 Brighton Ave., Allston, 1 p.m. Free.
