Dustin Pedroia on Sports Tonight

Pedroia_on_deck.jpg When you're Dustin Pedroia and you were the Rookie of the Year in 2007 on a team that won the World Series and are the current MVP of the American League, and you led MLB in hits and doubles in 2008, and just signed a $40 million contract - breathe - then you can say whatever you want. That's just what he did on Thursday on the Comcast Sportsnet Sports Tonight show.

Pedroia said, among other things, that his MVP trophy is on the floor, compared Terry Francona to the Monopoly guy, suggested Big Papi needs a new bed, and even openly dissed Manny's hair and his ongoing contract saga.

When asked how not having Manny would impact the Red Sox in 2009, Pedroia said "We won more games last year without him than we did with him."

He even hit Gary Tanguay in the face with a bat. Well, just a picture of him.
