Sports Redux: Rest is Best

KG.jpg Fool us once, shame on you...we're not going to say anything about Friday night other than the fact that both the Bruins and Celtics were off. That's it.

The big news in town today is, of course, that Kevin Garnett, who will be forced to rest for two to three weeks after sustaining his knee injury on Thursday night. If you're nervous about our guy, at least take solace in the fact that the league is battling this pesky falling stars problem. While Sports Illustrated lists our particular potential woe as the number one injury of concern, Danny Granger, Tracy McGrady, Amar'e Stoudemire, and Manu Ginobili also make the cut.

In baseball news, perhaps there really is something to the idea that Josh Beckett brings his top game every other year.

The B's take on the Panthers tonight.

  • Before we go crazy over the C's demise due to KG's injury, please consider...

    1. The C's have 10 games in the next three weeks and four of those teams, well, stink. They also face a Phoenix team that just lost Amar'e Stoudamire. Miami and Detroit are slightly above .500. The Cavs, Orlando and Denver present problems.

    2. How'd they do w/o KG last year? Remember Rondo going Cedric Maxwell while KG was out? C's were 7-2.

Oh, btw, Wikipedia says the C's traded Rondo on 2/15/09.
