The loss of Ricardo Montalban has been hard for all of us. Find closure this week at the Brattle. The Ricardo Montalban retrospective kicks off tonight with Mystery Street (1950), Montalban's spin around Boston. It's a John Sturges film noir procedural about a murder on the Cape with a Harvard connection. Location shots in Boston and Cambridge make for good landmark spotting. Community Meetings
The fire that ravaged Peterborough Street in January has Fenway and Kenmore residents anxious about what will take the place of the beloved restaurants that were destroyed. Today, neighbors, restaurant owners, and city officials will meet with the owner of the damaged building to discuss the future of the street. Let's hope that it doesn't include KFC or Pizza Hut. Shucks
The Massachusetts Oyster Project, which has been seeding oyster beds in the Boston Harbor watershed, hosts a benefit Shuck-Off tonight. Admission gets you four oysters, a beer, and a chance to learn how Bostonist's favorite bivalve might clean up the murky Harbor.
