-- Two men wearing hoods and fangs attacked a 25-year-old Cambridge man near the Alewife T station Saturday night, according to police. The alleged creatures of the night were said to have pistol-whipped the victim with a silver, automatic pistol. The victim has not reported seeing the reflection of either suspect, and police still do not know if the suspects can cross running water. [Cambridge Chronicle]

-- A man was stabbed at the corner of Kneeland and Knapp Streets, next to a Dunkin' Donuts, according to Tufts police. [Universal Hub]

-- Somerville cops say they busted a prostitute during a sting operation and nabbed a cocaine dealer and a few pot smoking kids, for good measure. [Somerville Journal]

-- A bus rider in Lowell assaulted his driver with a hot cup of coffee in a misguided attempt to forestall a transportation strike. [AP]

All charges alleged until proven under law.
