U2 rocked for 5 songs. Sway from MTV hosted and mispronounced "Haverhill." Overheard outside of the Somerville Theatre last night:

-- "Edge can play the spoons for all I care..."

-- "Then I saw Craig from VH1, and he said..."

-- "Sully, get out of that tree!"

-- "Hey, Sway! Come talk to the real fans!"

-- "I know that dude from somewhere." [On seeing Sway]

-- "This is amazing for Somerville that they're here."

-- "Oh my GAWD! Don't even tell me there's a line to get into The Joshua Tree!"

In case you were wondering, Bostonist noticed more than a hundred "VIP types" go in before the radio winners arrived.
