OK, the excitement's mostly died down, but we can still string it out for one more day.
If you've been following the Bruins lately, you're probably feeling Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of. But as Bad as they've been playing, the Senators have been worse, and the B's jumped out to a quick 4-1 lead, holding on like it was the Last Night on Earth to claim a 5-3 win. Goals for the Bruins came from Aaron Ward, P.J. Axelsson, Chuck Kobasew and Phil Kessel (two, one on an empty-netter).
The Celtics, still undermanned and shorthanded, seem to be Running To Stand Still while they wait for KG and company to return. They lost a close game to Dwyane Wade and a fiery Miami team Wednesday, and have A Sort Of Homecoming at the Garden tonight against the Grizzlies.
The big question out of Sox camp has been Do You Feel Loved? And if you're Manny Ramirez, the answer is no. Babyface Jonathan Papelbon, in an interview with Esquire, called the former slugger a "cancer", and said "for him not to be on the same page as the rest of the team was a killer, man!" Usually, it's not correct to include exclamation points in a direct quote, but with Papelbon, it kinda makes sense. After telling Manny essentially, the Sox can win With Or Without You, Papelbon said that Jason Bay is a stabilizing and welcome presence who can bring the Sox One Step Closer to getting back to the top.
