Movies

The Gleaners and I (2000) is a striking and digressive autobiographical documentary about gleaners, people who get by on the waste of others. Screening as part of the HFA's Agnès Varda retrospective, the movie is by turns goofy and earnest. Harvard Film Archive, Carpenter Center, 24 Quincy St., Cambridge, 7 p.m. $10.

Dilemmas

Fate plays a dastardly trick on fans early nineties pop punk tonight when Less Than Jake and Propaghandi perform at the same time in different venues.

Hipsters Dancing for Charity

Does anybody actually know what Bikes not Bombs does? The JP nonprofit claims to have "been a nexus of bike recycling and community empowerment both in lower income neighborhoods of Boston and in the nations of the Global South" for the past 24 years. Dance for the group tonight, as DJs Patrick and Stella (Gross Anatomy) join DJ Lonewolf (Todo Mundo) and DJ D'Hana (The Neighborhood) for a fundraiser. (Rescheduled from February). Milky Way Lounge, 403 Centre St., Jamaica Plain, 8 p.m. Sliding scale donations.
