Boston, Help Us Find Bunnies

Bostonist likes to pretend we are know-it-alls, but sometimes the depth of our ignorance becomes shamefully apparent. We received an email from a distraught reader late last night, with the following plea:

I was just wondering if you knew of a good place to see rabbits while in Boston. I need to take my baby sister out for the day and she loves rabbits, so I thought I'd try to find some.

Now, we know where to find albino squirrels, and we have seen a bunny or two hopping through JP, but we have no idea where to reliably find these critters, symbols of fertility and cuteness. Boston, can you lend us a hand?

Leave your bunny hunting tips in the comments.

Harvard Business School, on the Allston side of campus, across the street from the stadium. Beaucoup de bunnies. At least there were last fall.

HBS!!!! though it is a tiny bit early for bunnies still - next weekend after it has been a bit warmer they all come out and play - you can also see them in Chinatown, but they are more of the "ready to eat" kind

For friendly bunnies that could use some love, try any of the MSPCAs. There is also a Bunny Bonanzoo on April 11 a bit north of Boston. Read about that at http://www.zoonewengland.org/

I always see them in the spring at dusk on the Lexington section of the Minuteman Bike Path. It might still be a little early in the year though.

try the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain. (or my front yard in Newton :
