The hot new trend around town is to leave something scary in front of a bank. It could even be a store mannequin -- or practically anything to put people in a twitter.
Early Saturday, someone noticed a suspicious item in front of the Bank of America branch in Harvard Square and freaked out. CCTV has a video of the bomb squad van and some other photos.
Cambridge PD told Bostonist that a beeper from Border Cafe was found near the mailbox in front of BofA. There is a message on the device that reads, "If lost, place in a mailbox..." It's not as alarming as an Old Navy model with a populist message, but it'll do the trick.
So thanks to the drunk people on Friday night that didn't want to wait for a table!
