Pillow Fights
It's World Pillow Fight Day, and, once again, Boston's Banditos Misteriosos have organized one for the Hub. The group claims to have more than 2,300 combatants already registered, so it's going to be huge. Christopher Columbus Park, 2:55 p.m. Free. Pillow Fight rules and more information.
Escape From Mom's Basement
Bostonist loves the Boston Comic Con, which bills itself as New England's largest, and not only because it happens in the old John Hancock Building. 13,000 square feet of vendors will hawk the four-colored rags, and Madman creator Mike Allred will sign your stuff. Back Bay Events Center, 10 a.m. to 5p.m., through Sunday. $10.
Reunions
Providence spazz rock synthesizer band Six Finger Satellite left a cyborg shaped hole in our hearts when it dissolved in 2001. The Juan MacLean's former bandmates have reunited with a new line-up. We only hope that they still play "Send in the Clones." With Ho-Ag, The In-Out, and Black Hellicopter. Great Scott, 1222 Comm. Ave., Allston, 9 p.m. $10.
Samba
The Samba Tremeterra baterĂa is the large ensemble project of Deraldo Ferreira, founder of the Brazilian Cultural Center of New England. The group throws exhilerating samba parties with an emphasis on the beat. Johnny D's Uptown, 17 Holland St., Somerville, 9:45 p.m.
Movies
Ever wonder where Kiefer Sutherland learned all his Jack Bauer torture moves? From his days as a flying, Corey hunting vampire, of course. The Lost Boys (1987) was the original Southern California vampire mythos, predating Buffy the Vampire Slayer by five years. The Coolidge screens the film as an "interactive" spectacle, and the film is old and dorky enough that there might not even be any BU undergrads to puke on you. Coolidge Corner Theatre, 290 Harvard St., Brookline, midnight. $10.
