Friday Happenings

It's Easter weekend, which means it's time for the annual Boston Bunny Barhop. If you like drinking booze in a large group of people while wearing bunny ears, you probably already have plans to attend. If you are merely curious, it's not going to kill you to give it a try. After all, the T hasn't cut service yet, and you can totally bail if it sucks. Begins at Miracle of Science, 321 Mass. Ave., Cambridge, 9 p.m. More information.

Music

The Books is a duo of New York City musicians who make brainy pop music that combines electronica, folk music, and modern classical composition theories into a briny broth littered with weird samples. Institute for Contemporary Art, South Boston, 7 p.m. $25.

Art Festivals

The Endless Knot Art Festival is an opportunity to see a wide swath of Boston's artists working in a variety of genres and media. The evening includes artisans, photographers, live music performers, and dancers, and there will be ample opportunity to buy some locally made swag. Roxbury Community College, 1234 Columbus Ave., Roxbury, 7 p.m. $5. More information.

Theater

It's the 400th anniversary of Galileo's first telescope and a fitting time for The Life of Galileo, Bertolt Brecht's pedagogical retelling of Galileo's persecution at the hands of the Catholic Church. Presented by the Catalyst Collaborative@MIT. Central Square Theater, 8 p.m., through May 17. $32/$22/$18/$12.
