The first ever Rockus Collegiate Battle of the Bands goes down at the Paradise on Tuesday, April 14. Co-sponsored by Rolling Stone (ever heard of it?) and Veritas Records, the skirmish pits local scholarly bands against each other in an epic cage match of rock.

Prizes for the finals include merchandise from Rolling Stone Collection, an album release party in Boston's Hard Rock Cafe, time in an NYC recording studio to record 3 tracks and the glory of being the best band in the history of Boston.
The winner will be decided by a panel of Rolling Stone's finest and a “surprise Boston music celeb,” but audience participation is always key at these sorts of things: show up with the proverbial bells on.
