Next week the annual Craft Brewers Conference comes to Boston. This means nearly 2,600 people in the brewpub or brewery businesses descend upon the city to learn about brewing and share information about craft beer. This means a lot of lecturing, schmoozing, and, what else
? Oh, yeah: drinking.
What does this mean for the rest of us not in the beer business? It means drinking, too. Boston’s going wild with beer-related events, and what follows is a selection of them.
April 16:
Watch a screening of the movie Beer Wars as it premiers across the country. Tickets and other information can be found here.
April 19:
Enjoy a beer dinner with Adam Avery of Avery Brewing in Boulder Colorado. Located at the Bukowski Tavern in Cambridge. Starts at 6 pm and costs $40.
April 20:
Share a dinner with Massachusetts brewer Dann Paquette of Pretty Things brewery at Vee Vee in Jamaica Plain. Starts at 7pm and costs $58.
April 21: Celebrate Mad River Brewing’s recent entry into the Massachusetts market with Eric Spieth from the brewery. Held at Cambridge Common at 5pm, no cover, pay as you go.
April 22:

With the price of entry you also receive a sample of “The Audacity of Hops,” a beer by brewers Will Meyers and Matthew Steinberg. Held at Cambridge Common from 5 to 7pm and costs $14.95.
More beery events after the jump.

April 24:
Gather at the Roadhouse in Brookline for what BeerAdvocate is calling “an epic throwdown.” The Roadhouse, BeerAdvocate and Joe Short of Short’s Brewing Company in Michigan are “throwing down” some appreciation for local BeerAdvocates’ support. Lasts from 6pm to 2am, pay as you go.
April 25:
Eat Local, Drink Local: Beer pairing goes green is sponsored by DrinkCraftBeer.com and features local brews alongside local foods. The event puts attendees on the 100 mile diet, offering only items produced within 100 miles of Boston. Brewers include Pretty Things, Peak Organic, and Mayflower, alongside cheeses from Shy Brothers Farm. It's on Saturday, April 25 from 3pm to 6pm at the Wine Gallery Brookline (375 Boylston Street, Brookline Hills stop on the D line).
We're sure there are more events out there. What have you heard?
