BostonTV: The Final Countdown to Marathon Monday

For a very special Sunday edition of BostonTV, we’re letting you know about a new show—Sit Down, Shut Up—and also helpfully advising what to do after the marathon tomorrow.

Created by Mitch Hurwitz of Arrested Development fame, the new animated series Sit Down, Shut Up stars none other than Michael and Gob Bluth as voice actors. Keep an ear out for the Bluth’s family lawyer aka Henry Winkler aka The Fonz.

The show’s about "self-obsessed teachers of a high school where the students are mere obstacles," according to Brian Stelter in the New York Times. The official website has videos to amp you up before the premiere at 8:30.

Not an Arrested Development fan? (Side note: WHY? Go hang out here for a few hours, then come talk to us.) My Fake Fiancé also premieres tonight, at 8PM on ABC Family.

Let’s fast-forward to tomorrow: the marathon’s over. You’ve been drinking all day. You maybe cheered on some runners and probably saw some acquaintances get arrested. You stood around for hours, or maybe you passed out before noon and are just now starting to piece together your morning. Maybe you even ran the marathon! Good work! In any case, the stragglers are limping through Kenmore Square and it’s time for some quality couch grazing.

Here’s our pick for some come-down-off-your-buzz, ice-down-those-strained-calves Monday night television.

FX: 6PM, Snakes on a Plane (Watch for the pivotal line: “Enough is enough! I have had it with these ---- snakes on this ---- plane!” Edited for television, it will be priceless.)

Discovery: 6:30PM, Cash Cab

Syfy: 7PM, Knights of Bloodsteel (Not that we would ever watch anything on Syfy. Ahem.)

FX: 8PM, The Devil Wears Prada

The CW: 8PM, Gossip Girl

Bravo: 8:30PM, Kathy Griffin: She’ll Cut a Bitch (Repeat, but it’s worth seeing again. In your delirious, possibly still-drunken state, it’ll be magical.)

Watch Sit Down, Shut Up at 8:30PM on Fox.
