We're no experts at robbing people by swordpoint, but we feel certain that we could do a better job at it than the mysterious man, dressed as a ninja, who tried to knock over a Tedeschi convenience store and a dry cleaner in Weymouth. The Patriot Ledger reports that the man threatened a clerk at the convenience store Monday night with a sword, but made a crucial ninja mistake:
A clerk, alarmed by the man’s appearance, called police. When the man noticed her, he pulled his mask off and asked if she was calling about him, [police Sgt. Richard] Fuller said.
Thus unmasked, the no longer mysterious assailant escaped the store without any booty, turned his larcenous attentions onto a laundromat, and was foiled there, as well. The suspect remains at large and possibly in search of a remedial school for ninjas. [Patriot Ledger]
