Comestibles

It's Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry's, which means that five-hour-long lines will be in effect at all Ben & Jerry's stores. Various Ben & Jerry's locations, noon to 8 p.m. Free.

It's Iced Coffee Day at Dunkin' Donuts, which means that 50 cents will get you a small iced coffee and the people in Boston will be wandering around in a heavily caffeinated diabetic haze. Various Dunkin' Donuts locations, all day, 50 cents.

Movies

The Brattle's Robert Siodmak retrospective concludes with a double feature of noir classics. Criss Cross (1949) is not about strangers on a train. Shot in New York with plenty of sleazy details. Brattle Theatre, 40 Brattle St., Cambridge. Tickets and showtimes.
