Izzi Creo

Over the last year and a half, post-rock trio Izzi Creo has packed basements across Allston and Brookline. Tonight, the members headline their last show at O’Brien’s Pub.

The band is similar to Explosions in the Sky in the way it builds instrumental movements from slow, evenly-paced arrangements to thundering climaxes. We’ve seen them move masses of half-drunk hipsters from apathetic head-bobbing to full-on moshing in under three minutes, a feat NASA declared impossible after a series of controlled laboratory tests last year. Or something like that.

So disappear for the night and let the reverb wash over you at O'Brien's this evening. Also, check back within the next few days for an interview with the band dealing with their final days and the intrigue of creative differences.
