Oddblotter: Flashing and Toe Sucking

flashing.jpg This Bostonist takes crime seriously. Even flashers. But, flashing is kind of funny. Or, the coverage of it is. Especially if you're Fox25 and your name is Erin Hawksworth. Police in Salem, N.H. are looking for an unnamed man who exposed himself to a woman at the the Mall at Rockingham Park. Fortunately, maybe, there is a surviellance video of the alleged, ahh, assailant, walking in the mall in the moments before he exposed himself. Hawksworth began her report by having to suppress a giggle - just look at her face - and then described the exposure as an "inappropriate act".

Hawksworth allowed Captain Shawn Patten of the Salem P.D. to fill in the details of what happened. According to Patten, the victim was in her car when the flasher dropped trou and began "having at it" with himself. Patten used "having at it" instead of saying masturbating again, which is also amusing.

Speaking of fetishes...

John Traywick, 45, of Fitchburg, Lowell, Westford, Chelmsford, and Ayer admitted he raped a woman and then sucked her toes. He pled guilty to charges of rape, indecent assault and battery on a person over 14 (toe sucking), failure to register as a sex offender and failure to appear in court. The judge sentenced Traywick to 7-8.5 years in state prison.

Prosecutor Elizabeth Dunigan alleged Traywick raped the victim at an Ayer hotel on May 19, 2006. She passed out in his truck after drinking at a local bar and when she woke up the next day, Traywick was sucking her toes and she asked to be driven home.

All charges alleged until proven under law.
