The Globe reports that the driver in today's Green Line crash at Government Center was texting while driving, or T operating. Texting, or at least cell phone use, was also blamed in last summer's Green Line crash on the D line that killed the driver.

Dan Grabauskas of the MBTA said the driver admitted he was texting.
Unfortunately this person will probably get a slap on the wrist since the MBTA doesn't have the stones to get tough on this.. If they want to see their revenues drop like a rock then they should just keep letting their drivers get away with this crap. IMO cellphones/texting/etc should be a 1 and done offense for MBTA drivers.
