-- 17-year-old Kiara Santiago of Roxbury pleaded not guilty yesterday to charges that she and accomplices invaded the home a 60-year-old Quincy man, robbed him, stripped him naked, and left him bound and gagged. The victim, Robert Noons, was a friend of Santiago's family, police say, and was relieved of $18,000, cash. The police report quotes Santiago as admitting that she and her four alleged accomplices planned to "rob Noons of all his drugs and his money," an interesting twist that might explain why the man had $18,000 in cash, but police have made no allegations that Noons possessed drugs. -- Mozart park, within gunshot distance of the Bromley-Heath projects in Jamaica Plain, might not be the best place in Boston to whip out a fake gun and start terrorizing people. One 19-year-old learned that the hard way after he allegedly used a plastic replica gun to clear the park and was carted out by police. [BPDNews]

-- Boston cops busted an alleged arsonist in Jamaica Plain, but this one sounds like an out of control drunk and not the coldly calculating and oddly paunchy burning tire arsonist who has been terrorizing the neighborhood for years. [BPDNews]
