The Herald has reported rumors of a ManRay "resurrection." The Cambridge club was home to all manner of mesh-shirted, Wolfsheim-loving goth, industrial, and fetish populations (as well as a gay "Campus" night) until it closed in 2005. Bostonist may have eaten a carrot stick or two off a saran-wrapped lady on a table there, and we will not deny having pumped our little fists to "Panzermensch." (Though the carrots just tasted like carrots, and fetish night seemed to mostly mean "boobs." Last we checked, liking boobs wasn't a particularly extreme fetish.)

Manrayclub.com announces (vaugely, and in Bauhaus type) a summertime reopening. According to the Herald, "Speculation is that [owner Don] Holland has his eye on the Green Street Grill, located around the corner from the old ManRay site." We're not sure what precisely what this implies, but Bostonist is alarmed at the thought of ManRay's speed-poured drinks in the vicinity of Green Street's hallowed bar—surely a matter-antimatter explosion would ensue?

We calmed ourselves by perusing the Cambridge Licensing Board's minutes from April 14th, which merely state that Holland's "counsel is in discussions with an establishment on Green Street," without mention of a particular establishment. Holland will return on May 26th to make his case for the extension of his liquor license's inactive status.
