-- A man was stabbed this afternoon at St. Francis House homeless shelter in downtown Boston. The victim suffered multiple wounds, and police were able to subdue and arrest a knife-wielding suspect. [Globe]

-- The beans have been spilled: A Suffolk County grand jury is looking into indictments for Aiden Quinn, the Green Line driver who caused a massive accident earlier this month while texting his girlfriend. Grand juries are confidential, and the Globe learned of Quinn's from an unnamed source. Quinn's attorney said, "It's not a surprise." [Globe]

-- Two women engaged in a sprawling fight that spilled out of Phoenix Landing in Central Square, Cambridge in the early morning last Wednesday. One of the alleged participants lost "one or more" false teeth and reportedly offered to introduce police to some drug dealers. [Cambridge Chronicle]
