--Nantucket antique dealer David Place was charged with the alleged illegal importing and trafficking of sperm whale teeth on Friday. Place was indicted by a federal grand jury in Boston on multiple counts of conspiracy and violating a federal law that prohibits trading in illegally captured wildlife.[Boston.com]

--A pair of criminals with deficient taste stole jewelry, art and electronics from two exclusive Channel Center condos over Memorial Day weekend. Both residents alerted police on Tuesday to the crime. They said the alleged criminals left more valuable items than they took. [Herald]

--Two public officials in Revere may or may not be going to court after they allegedly fought at a wake. Yes, a wake. Hey, it is Revere. [Globe, Lynn Daily Item]

--An unnamed inmate at the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley struck the facility's superintendent, Thomas Dickhaut. The Department of Corrections said Dickhaut was struck at a program designed to allow inmates to talk with senior staff. Bostonist wonders if said program will continue. The incident is being investigated. [Herald]

--A Vermont man was charged with manslaughter after allegedly shooting his son on a turkey hunt. The father thought he was shooting at a turkey. [WCVB]
