-- John Mentor, a 23-year-old Hyde Park man, was indicted this morning in the attempted murder of three Boston cops. Mentor allegedly fired a gun at the officers during an attempted drug arrest on April 13. District Attorney Daniel Conley said, "The evidence suggests a cold-blooded decision to shoot and kill Boston Police. -- Boston police have identified the victim of Friday's fatal shooting on Centre Street Terrace in Roxbury. 29-year-old Travis Davis of Dorchester was found shot to death on a back stairwell of the apartment building. [BPDNews]
-- Two people who were helping their friend cross State Street on crutches Saturday night allegedly found themselves at the mercy of a pair of particularly recalcitrant Massholes. After a shouting match over how long it was taking the encumbered party to cross the street, two suspects allegedly lost their patience, left their car, and attacked the two victims, smashing one over the head with a bottle and stabbing the other.
