Ice Cream

The annual Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl brings ice cream and good intentions to Government Center. Ticket proceeds go to the Jimmy Fund, obviously, and several dozen flavors of ice cream go to pack your mouth. You'll be the envy of every Jerry and Jane on the block. City Hall Plaza, noon to 8 p.m., through June 11.

Openings

The Beehive continues its Sting! art exhibition series with Sting! 5: Pop Rocks, a showcase of pop art. Artists include Ben Sloat, Gina Dawson, Heidi Cody, Elisa Johns, Scott Listfield, Tanit Sakakini, Jonathan Santos, Jeffu Warmouth, and Jowhara AlSaud. You can even buy a $150 bottle of wine with labeling designed by pop art messiah Shepard Fairey. Beehive, 541 Tremont St., 6:30 p.m. Free.

Bowling for Justice

Lefty bowling parties have reluctantly moved across the river since the Milky Way closed its Centre Street location. That's why you'll find our old friends Socializing for Justice mowing down pins in Somerville instead of JP. Bowling for Justice is an opportunity for like-minded do-gooders to network, scheme, and bowl. Sacco's Bowl Haven, 45 Day St., Somerville, 5:30 p.m. $10 to bowl, $2 to chat.
