Music, Precious Music
Montreal quartet Sunset Rubdown sounds like a glam-inflected prog rock band except without all of that pesky songwriting talent or performance virtuosity. The kids love this stuff. Performing with the pleasantly folksy Elfin Saddle and the likeably melodramatic 4AD throwback band Witchies. Middle East Downstairs, 472 Mass. Ave., Cambridge, 8 p.m. $12.
Rawk
The Detroit Cobras play a soul-inflected, southern fried Motor City rockabilly that you either love or hate, depending on your position on torch songs and bleached blond bangs. Performing with North Carolina's Dexter Romweber Duo, which brings a throaty howl and the Piedmont blues to Cambridge tonight. TT the Bear's Place, 10 Brookline St., Cambridge, 9:30 p.m. $15.
Pr0n
Good Vibrations just can't stop showing porn. We were scandalized by the Third Annual Amateur Erotic Film Festival, and the Brookline store has somehow managed to concoct a second dose, er, "Second Coming," of low budget porn: the Indie Erotic Film Fest. Coolidge Corner Theater, 290 Harvard St., Brookline, 9:30 p.m. $10.
Drag
Boston Pride Week continues with the King and Queen of Boston Pageant, a no-holds barred, multi-gendered drag competition. The Estate, 1 Boylston Pl., 7 p.m. Free.
