--Robert Supple, 20, of Ashland is one of many accused drag-racers managing to escape serious punishment for what became a crime in 2008. Supple is wanted for probation violations stemming from his sentence for an apparent drag-racing incident in 2004 that resulted in the death of 19-year old John Curtin. The Herald says six of 124 people who allegedly drag raced have been convicted under the 2008 law. The paper listed several drag-racing incidents. [Herald]
--For some reason, the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts ruled that the brother of Tari Richardson, who was convicted of shooting at and missing a Brockton police officer in 2007, could view pictures of female jurors to determine if there was a connection between a juror and prosecutor Daniel Hourihan. [Globe]
--Two men who survived three mistrials were convicted on Thursday of killing Betsy Tripp of Dorchester in 2004. William Wood was convicted of first-degree murder and Quincy Butler was convicted of second-degree murder and is eligible for parole in 15 years. [Herald]
--A West Roxbury man was arrested after throwing a vacuum at his roommate while he was moving out on Wednesday. The suspect accused the soon-to-be-ex-roommate of swiping his Listerine. [Herald]
