Art
The Odysseus Project: Finding Home is a collection of artwork by and about veterans returning from war. The exhibition also includes an oral history and literary component; readings will take place in a couple of weeks. Tonight, check out the drawings, photographs, videos, and installations that attempt to distill the indescribable experiences of combat and violence, alienation and death. It's a chance for those of us who have only seen war from afar gain an inkling of its effects on those who waged it. Art @ 12, 12 Farnsworth ST., South Boston, 5 p.m., through June 27. Free.
The 80s
Boston Gay Men's Chorus joins Pride Week with a showcase called Boys Just Wanna Have Fun: Totally 80s. Hair metal, Brit-pop, Prince, and even favorite television theme songs are on the bill. John Hancock Hall, Back Bay Events Center, 180 Berkeley St., 8 p.m. $15-$45.
Sound Art
NOVI_SAD is the nom d'arte of Thanasis Kaproulias, a Greek sound artist who experiments with environmental recordings, drones, and microtones. It's our favorite kind of experiment this side of Mr. Wizard. Local experimental composer Benjamin Nelson also performs. Hosted by Non-Event. Massachusetts College of Art and Design, North Hall, Room 181, 621 Huntington Ave., 8 p.m. $!0.
Movies
It's the dark side of My Three Sons. Sitcom dad Fred MacMurray leads opposite Barbara Stanwyck in Billy Wilder's film noir Double Indemnity. Shot from a script by Raymond Chandler and censored by the Hays Office, the film is the bedrock of the genre. Museum of Fine Arts, 8 p.m. $10/$8.
