--O'Ryan Johnson, a Boston Herald crime reporter, faces up to 10 years in prison for allegedly kicking a man in the chest. Johnson asked for help at a laundromat in Groveland and the 74-year old man who responded got yelled at then kicked. Johnson was reportedly with a young girl. [Lawrence Eagle Tribune]

--Four men in Mission Hill were allegedly robbed by three men who came to their apartment for a marijuana deal. [Herald]

--Charles Berube of Methuen allegedly killed his dog with a hammer because he could not afford to pay a veterinarian to euthanize the animal. The dog's name was Spot and Berube struck him with the claw end 2-3 times. For some reason, the Globe thought we couldn't pronounce "Methuen." [Lawrence Eagle Tribune]

--An unnamed Acushnet man who allegedly ran over a mother duck in a Dartmouth shopping mall parking lot may face animal cruelty charges. The driver reportedly didn't see the duck, who was walking with her 12 ducklings. Witnesses say he was laughing.[ WBZ]

--An eighth-grader from Wellesley faces 20 years in jail for allegedly making bomb threats on his school. [WCVB]


All charges alleged until proven under law.
