It's a bit of a slow week for music. The Needy Visions hit Harper’s (again!) and Children Collide are here all the way from Australia to rock the same venue on Saturday. Also, Dinosaur Jr. put out a new album and it kills.
Monday June 22nd
It’s a semi-dead night for music in Boston, with the Downstairs and the HoB closed. Which is all the more reason to indulge in the indie-rock goodness of Arizona at TT’s tonight. Screw the rain, hopefully they bring the sun. 18+ - $9 - 9 pm
Revival, the monthly indie-crazy dance night at Middlesex, is celebrating it’s second to last show tonight. Rumor has it that the final blow-out is on a boat.
Tuesday June 23rd
Totally Michael and Prizzy Prizzy Please play Great Scott tonight. Both those band names sound entirely made-up. 18+ - $9 - 9 pm
Wednesday June 24th
The Needy Visions! Again! So if you didn’t see them last week or the week before that and probably the day before that check them at Harper’s tonight. Seriously, if “Mac’s Big Secret” doesn’t have you dancing in a delirious haze, you’re probably not human. Or don’t have the necessary faculties to enjoy such things. 18+ - 9 pm
Friday June 25th
Major Stars bring their huge guitars to O’Brien’s tonight. They’ve been a local mainstay for what seems like forever, so if you haven’t seen them yet and claim to have any interest in the Boston music scene, head to Obs tonight. 21+ - $8 - 9 pm
Saturday June 26th
This Bostonist lucked out in seeing Children Collide at a small club in Sydney while studying there last year. They play the type of stratospheric indie-rock that’s meant for grand arenas and in all likelihood, will find it’s way there (at least in Oz). Check em out at Harper’s tonight. 18+ - 8 pm
Sunday June 27th
In typical Sunday fashion, venues are either closed or not showcasing anything of note. But, if we happened to overlook some incendiary show, please please please let us know so we can rep it. Word!
And in the meantime, look at this fish! You can see inside his head! Just look!
That's it's brain! AH!
