The Brattle continues its Classic Gangsters series with the John Huston classic Key Largo (1948), which couldn't come with a more hard-boiled cast: Edward G. Robinson, Humhrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, and Lionel Barrymore. Screening with the Raoul Walsh's The Roaring Twenties (1939), which pairs Bogart and James Cagney as bootleggers on the make. Brattle Theatre, 40 Brattle St., Cambridge. Tickets and showtimes.

Veeps

Joe Biden is articulate and bright and clean, and he's coming to Boston to prove it. (And to raise a few funds.) Fenway Park, 5 p.m. $100. More information.

Laughs

Can eight comedians all go one night without making a joke about cancer? Probably not, but they might as well raise funds to cure the disease while they're doing it. Comics Against Cancer come to Somerville tonight, and all proceeds go to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Somerville Theatre, 55 Davis Square, Somerville, 8 p.m. More information.
