African Dance
Senegalese dancer Pape N'Diaye, headmaster of the Ndaje School of African Arts, presents a massive festival celebrating West African culture. Events include drum lessons and dance performances from musicians and dancers from Senegal, Guinea, Mali, and the United States. The festival also features vendors selling West African food. Rodeos
We're pretty sure that there has never been much cattle wrangling in the South Shore, but that hasn't stopped the people of Marshburg from mounting a replica rodeo. The New England Wild West Fest features bull riding, bronco riding, and country western music, and none of those words are euphemisms for other activities. Proceeds benefit the Jimmy Fund. Marshfield Fairgrounds, 150 Main St., Marshfield, 11 a.m., through Sunday. $15, cash only.
Burlesque
The folks who brought you the Slutcracker have a assembled a new show. Boiling Point Burlesque features gallery art by Emma Weisman and work by a variety of local burlesque performers, including Big Moves, Babes in Boinkland, Can Can Revolution, and the Boston Hoop Troop. Cambridge YMCA Theatre, 820 Mass. Ave., Cambridge, 7 p.m. $15/$20.
