Boston Blotter: Cops Seize Enough Heroin to Kill a Brontosaurus

-- Undercover Boston cops busted a Newton man who allegedly tried to sell them $200,000 worth of black tar heroin in the South End on Friday. The man, 34-year-old Amando Avila, faces multiple drugs charges. [BPDNews]

-- Boston cops nabbed a pair of suspects who allegedly broke into a third floor apartment in Dorchester to have an apparent crack and booze party. [BPDNews}

-- A confused, would-be tenant led Boston police to a man who had rented her a South End apartment that he did not own. The suspect was booked under the inelegantly named charge of larceny by scheme. [BPDNews]

-- Justin Shine, a 26-year-old Hanover man, faces charges that he abducted a 6-year-old girl, tied her up, injecting her with a as-yet-unknown substance and planned to rape her before freeing her when he heard neighbors knocking on his door. He was arraigned this morning on a slew of charges. [Herald]

-- Good news for the Somerville teens who claim that they were unjustly accused of being gang members during a March arrest. Police radio recordings apparently indicate that the head of Somerville's Gang Unit told dispatchers that the boys were not gang members during the arrest. [Somerville Journal]
