They've invited City Councilor and mayoral candidate Michael Flaherty to say a few words about the race, and they'll stick around to chat about it afterward. Globe Bar and Cafe, 565 Boylston St., 7 p.m. Free.
Country Fairs
The annual Brockton Fair turns 135 this year, and it claims to be "bigger than ever." More than 100 rides, games and attractions shouldn't distract you from the primary reason to attend a country fair: the demolition derby. Through July 12. Tickets and more information.

Performing with Somerville psychedelicists Concorn Ballet Orchestra. P.A.'s Lounge, 345 Somerville Ave., Somerville, 8:30 p.m. $7/$10.
