Karaoke
It has been rescheduled twice, but the MFA's Outdoor Karaoke Party should finally happen this evening. The event accompanies the Boston premier of Candice Breitz's Queen (A Portrait of Madonna), a work of video art that finds 30 fans singing and and vogueing to Madonna's hit "Vogue." The video will be projected in front of the museum while ordinary Bostonians give their rock and roll stage moves a go. Huntington Entrance, Museum of Fine Arts, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., rain or shine. Free.
Dominican Music
Berklee's Tito Puente Latin Music Series brings world-class Latin music to urban parks around Boston. Today, Orquesta Bacharengue brings its unique fusion of the Dominican styles bachata and merengue to Mozart Park in Jamaica Plain. Mozart Park, 10 Mozart St., Jamaica Plain, 7 p.m. Free.
Theater
Boston's Orfeo Group runs through The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) in just a few hours—giving its audience just enough time to grill and eat a full meal. (If you don't like to grill, they also offer cold meals for $15.) It's outdoor Shakespeare at its zaniest and tonight it's free. Herter Park, Charles River, Brighton, 6:45 p.m. Through August. Free.
Cheese
Boston Localvores presents a free cheese tasting to celebrate its second year of existence. On the menu will be a full spectrum of cheese from New England, with the lion's share coming directly from Massachusetts. Bring bread or crackers for serving the cheese. The Growing Center, 22 Vinal Ave., Somerville, 6 p.m. Free ($3 suggested donation).
