Sometimes sports pages are filled with news fit for a police blotter. Bostonist discovered three athletes involved in controversies that involve the law.

  • Clay Buchholz - Buchholz was another victim, or more specifically, his car was. Two Pawtucket men were arraigned Friday in Providence after they allegedly stole two of the pitcher's four tires and left his BMW on bricks. A neighbor reported the theft in progress at 4 a.m. Friday.
  • Tom Brady - No, he did nothing wrong. He had something indirectly done to him. A 61-year old Malden man allegedly stole two Belgian flower boxes belonging to Brady after taking them from the trash. He sold them to a scrapyard in Everett for $450. He pled guilty to larceny and agreed to pay a fine. He was begging to pay it off until a Burlington man paid the fine.
  • Donte Stallworth - The former Patriots receiver was released from jail after serving 24 days of a 30-day sentence for DUI manslaughter.

All charges alleged until proven under law.
