The International Skateboarding Federation will hold the first Skateboarding World Championships in Boston as part of the Dew Tour, "the world's premiere season-long action sports tour." The TD Garden will host hundreds of skateboarders competing in park and vert for a world title. Athletes include X games medalists Ryan Sheckler, Paul Rodriguez, Bucky Lasek, and Pierre-Luc Gagnon, plus 2008 Dew Tour winner 14-year-old Chaz Ortiz and of course Boston native Andy Macdonald. Check out a preparty at the Goodlife on Thursday and head to the Garden on Friday and Saturday for some slick skate action. Tickets start at $15; get 'em while they're hot.
