Calling all photographers! On August 16, we will hold our 1st monthly Bostonist photo walk! Our goal is to get our readers and staff together for some fun around town, some laughs, and certainly some great images of our great city.
WHO: Everyone! Whether you shoot with a 1D MK III or a Kodak disposable, a D3X or an iPhone, we want you to come out and have some fun with us.
WHAT: A FREE photo walk of course!
WHEN: The 3rd Sunday of each month.
WHERE: Each month we'll choose a different segment of the city. Each walk will be scheduled for 2 hours of no more than 1 mile in length. We will keep things MBTA accessible and make sure we start or end around some local eateries in case anyone would like to come a few minutes early or stay a little late to socialize.
WHY? Because we love you. Oh that's taken? Then it's because we know we have some great photographers among our readers, and so we can get to know you better.
So our first walk will be at 9am on Sunday August 16th. We'll be meeting outside the Boylston Street Green Line stop, proceeding across the common to the Boston Public Garden, through the Garden and down Newbury Street and then across to Copley Square. Things to see will include plenty of people, the beautiful Public Gardens, shops along Newbury Street, culminating with Trinity Church, the Boston Public Library, and the John Hancock Tower.
We'd love to hear back from anyone who thinks they'll be coming! Or if you're interested but can't make it this month, let us know that too! It'd be great to get an idea of how many people we have coming.
