  • The Center for Disease Control picked Somerville as one of 10 sites to host information sessions on the H1N1 virus. [Somerville Journal]
  • Federal investigators learned that equipment malfunction on at least a 12 recent flights by U.S. jetliners prevented pilots from knowing how fast they were flying. A similar problem may have caused an Air France crash in June that killed 228 people. [Fox News Channel]
  • Melanson’s boat yard in Ipswich was destroyed in a three-alarm fire today. No injuries were reported. [Boston Herald]
