Barney Frank Offers Polite Disagreement With Pres. Obama

Barney Frank is fearless when it comes to giving his opinion. He was pro-universal healthcare back in March and hasn't changed his mind. He also takes no crap from Bill O'Reilly.

As the country loses its mind due to superficial coverage of healthcare/insurance reform, Frank sounded totally rational in the Herald today. Frank was responding to the idea that President Obama was dropping a public option from the mix, which, if true, would anger many Democrats, and he did it calmly. Frank said "Honest differences of opinion are not betrayals...I disagree with Obama. I think the public (insurance) option is very important."

Frank is holding a health care Q&A at a Dartmouth Democratic Town Committee meeting tonight. He committed to additional forums, too. The healthcare debate is dominating the news due to often intense healthhcare forums. One Congresswoman, Niki Tsongas, held a relatively uneventful forum.
