You saw the YouTube video of Steven Tyler, right? No, not the video of his shoulder-cracking fall. The video of him shopping at Pembroke Center Liquors and looking like a frail elderly woman. The fall at Sturgis earlier this month, and his physical appearance, is causing concern about the 61-year old rocker to a degree that the rest of Aerosmith is united against Tyler in a passive-aggressive fued that screams rock star, at least that's what the nameless sources allegedly connected to the band tell the Herald's Inside Track.
Fellow Aerosmithians Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer and Brad Whitford allegedly haven't heard directly from Tyler since Sturgis and are refusing to complete their next album until the voice of the band is "sober" and "healthy," words attributed to "sources" by the Track. Gayle Fee and Laura Raposa also report concerns about his personal life and business affairs.
There may have been a recent clue that there was trouble in Team Aerosmith. When the band canceled their tour, Perry was quoted by Reuters, and others, as saying "Words can't express the sadness I feel for having to cancel this tour." According to Twitter.com/AdmiralPerry, which might be fake, but seems real, Perry reportedly said "I am so sorry about vocalist Steven Tyler having to cancle (sic, emphasis added) our Aerosmith Shows.I can't say Im sorry enough you guys are great fans to have."
Each quote leaves a different impression.

Sorry to hear this... I saw Aerosmith in Houston, in July.. They were fabulous... I met Steven, although briefly, and he really looked great at that point in time... So.. I just can't take this.. Sending some good thoughts to Boston......
I didn't like these guys when they were just junkies, but their more recent persona as sober businessmen is even worse. I'm sure the board will downsize their frontman/CEO if he doesn't get it together. When they canceled that tour, the legal and financial implications must have been really scary. After all, they have lawsuits to worry about! At least that's what they learned in Hawaii recently, where they played a gig to settle a class action. (So very rock and roll of them!) I'm sure it must have been a very sincere performance:
