Boston Blotter: Work, Drugs, a Boat and Arson

-- Boston Police arrested an 18-year old East Boston man on Friday after he kicked and punched officers during a disturbance at his grandparents' house. The grandparents told police their grandson was destroying their house because they were making him go to work and he didn’t want to. He was locked in his room and was aggressive towards the officers once he opened his door. His fists were clinched and he said "I’m not going anywhere." He was charged with assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest. [BPDNews.com]

-- An Everett man was arrested while snorting Oxycontin was also allegedly dealing the drug in plastic bags with Tinker Bell logos. He was charged with distributing a Class B drug, drug violation near a school zone or park, trafficking in heroin, morphine or opium and conspiracy to violate drug law. [Somerville Journal]

-- A Marblehead woman admitted there was enough evidence to convict her of boating under the influence of alcohol. Her boat crashed and landed in a tree in a Salem backyard last July. The judge sentenced her to 12 months' probation, boating and alcohol safety classes, a 45-day suspension of her driver's license, and $600 in fines and fees. If those terms are met, the case will be dismissed after a year. [Salem News]

-- A Newbury woman was charged with burning down her $1.4 million home. She pled not guilty to a charge with arson of dwelling. [Herald]

All charges alleged until proven under law.
