Boston Blotter: Drugs, Assault, and a Fight

Blotter-Body-Outline.jpg -- A drug dealer from Providence was arrested in Somerville last Thursday. The suspect allegedly had at least 53 grams of crack cocaine he tried to flush down the toilet. Cops also allegedly found additional drugs hidden in the suspect's car. Somerville Police tried to “ward off the demons of law enforcement” by using religious trinkets to protect his secret drug hiding place. He was charged with breaking and entering, trafficking in heroin, morphine or opium, trafficking in cocaine and drug violation near a school zone or park. [Somerville Journal]

-- A Winthrop was arrested while allegedly using heroin in an East Boston Burger King on Tuesday. He reportedly told police "You’re not gonna lock me up for a little bit of dope, right?” [Herald]

-- An Attleboro man allegedly beat his 56-year-old disabled girlfriend unconscious after threatening to kill her last week. The suspect reportedly told the victim "I know how to put marks on people which the cops can't detect. If you call the cops I'll kill you." He allegedly grabbed the woman by the neck, hit her head repeatedly against a couch and threw her into a chair and the wall. The suspect was held without bail. A prior abuse report was filed on the victim's behalf in July by the Disabled Persons Protection Commission. [Attleboro Sun Chronicle]

-- A Cambridge man told police he was punched and stabbed by an unknown assailant near the Harrington School. Police think his injuries came from a fight with his brother on the same day. him on the street last week, but police believe his injuries are a result of a street fight with his brother.
