Despite one Bostonist's reservations, we caught up with the Boston Tweed Ride and its splendid haberdashery as it paused at the Weeks Foot Bridge on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. Participants removed their bicycle helmets to don more genteel millinery, suitable for mingling, tea-sipping, pipe-smoking, and accepting awards daintily. Much argyle was in evidence.
